Sandra Resende

My work involves tapestry, weaving, embroidery, crochet, latch hook and collage. Working with these different techniques, as well as with a variety of materials, gives me the openness and freedom not to get limited into one sole category. Favouring natural, recycled and reused fibres, I also work with natural fabrics such as linen and I reuse samples of curtain and upholstery fabrics discarded by the stores. I want to sublimate the material, while respecting the techniques applied, adding it some poetry.
